Skills for the Entire School Year (02/19/2018)

These are questions that you can ask your child throughout the school year. It takes our students a long time to move information from short term to long term memory, so exposure at home and at school over the entire school year will help the student. You can also work on calculator skills. You can read stories and ask who, what, where and why questions and talk about who the characters are and what the setting is. You can sequence stories into first or beginning of the story, middle and last or end of the story You can help your child make a bar graph, such as what is everyone's favorite fruit and then ask questions like what got the most votes? What got the least votes?
