Redding Elementary Recycling Challenge

Redding Elementary School is participating in the Best Way Disposal & Seymour Chamber 3 R Challenge.  This challenge is to promote the three R’s of environmental stewardship: Reduce, Reuse & Recycle. During the month of November, Redding will be creating less waste, recycling waste that isn’t being used, and finding uses for waste that is produced.  The winning school of this challenge will receive $500.

Redding Elementary will be organizing a challenge within the school.  We are encouraging students to bring in plastic bottles.  They can be pop or water bottles of any size.  Please make sure they are rinsed out.  Each classroom or grade level can then participate in a contest for the most creative project using recycled plastic bottles.  The winning class or grade level will receive a prize basket.

There will also be a contest for individual students.  Students can create a project out of plastic bottles at home.  They can then bring their projects in to school to be judged.  The winning student will receive a prize basket.

All projects will need to be turned in to the main office by Friday, November 21st to qualify for the contest.  The judging will be the following week.  Thank you in advance for participating in the Redding recycling project.
